It's been a brilliant couple of years for Geraldine Hickey. Gez’s deceptively effortless knack for turning low-key yarns about agapanthuses and bouncy-castles into high-stakes, endlessly funny narrative rollercoasters culminated in her Most Outstanding Show award at the 2021 Melbourne Comedy Festival.
A firm favourite of and in the Australian comedy scene, Geraldine’s 2019 show Things Are Going Well received a nomination for the Melbourne Comedy Festival Award for Most Outstanding Show, while she also took home the coveted comedians’ choice Piece of Wood Award.
★★★★★ “It’s testament to the way Hickey builds her set with calm elan that she can have a full Supper Room crowd heaving back and forth on their seats within the first 10 minutes.” The Age, 2021
Nath Valvo’s hilariously physical, high-energy comedy is impressing critics and winning crowds across the globe. Not many comedians can boast that their fan base includes TV royalty, but Nath has the Tweet from Graham Norton to prove it.
On the international stage, he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the world’s biggest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe, had a hit season at the Soho Theatre in London, and was selected for the MICF Asia Roadshow performing shows in Singapore, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
★★★★★ “Nath Valvo is simply a born entertainer.” The Advertiser
★★★★★ “All killer, no filler.” The Age
★★★★★ “Gags that will leave you gasping!” The Herald Sun
With a magnetism that will draw you in and keep you fixed, you will not be able to look away when Coco Jumbo takes to the stage. This queen is sassy, energetic and playful and is always the life of the party.
