Composer Cyrus Meurant returns to the Sound Lounge with special guests, violinist Kirsten Williams (Concertmaster, Canberra Symphony Orchestra) and saxophonist Andrew Smith (Nexas Quartet).
Williams will perform the world premiere of the recently completed Sonata for solo violin, whilst Smith performs the saxophone works Constancies and Four Pieces with the composer at the keyboard. The program will also include the solo piano compositions, Sortie and Monday III.
This is the second collaboration between Cyrus Meurant and Kirsten Williams, following on from the critically acclaimed: When I Stand Before Thee at the Day’s End, composed for Williams and the Canberra Symphony Orchestra in 2020.
