Christ Almighty: A Comedy of Biblical Proportions is an outrageous new musical comedy, taking over the Seymour Centre’s Reginald Theatre this September with the Sydney Fringe!
Meet Jesus. He’s a single thirty-something who spends his days punching in-and-out of his dad Joe’s carpentry business, and his nights punching bongs. It isn’t until God turns up at the door and dishes out his destiny that Jesus pulls his finger out. With a kick up the bum from his mother Mary and some fresh superpowers, Jesus heads for Jerusalem to save the people from what they never knew they had to fear… Their sins. Seems straight-forward enough, right?
Playwright and director Tommy James Green joins forces with emerging musical talents Gianna Cheung (Musical Director) and Jeremy Kindl (Composer) for this laugh-a-minute spoof, bursting with songs, gags and cute life lessons. It’s Kath & Kim meets Life of Brian!
