The Royal Academy of Dance presents
The Joan & Monica Halliday and Isobel Anderson Awards Finals are flagship events for world-leading dance organisation, the Royal Academy of Dance, and rank amongst the most prestigious ballet competitions in NSW.
Over 500 candidates from across the state compete in preliminary and semi-final classes in the lead up to the Finals, as well as taking part in a Commissioned Choreography Workshop where they learn new works from established choreographer, Francesco Ventriglia, to present at the Finals.
The event attracts eager and talented classical dancers across the state and highlights the rising stars of the artform. Join us as each of the finalists present a Royal Academy of Dance classical variation and one of three new contemporary Commissioned Choreography pieces in a spectacular evening of dance.
This year we are excited to introduce a new element of The Joan & Monica Halliday and Isobel Anderson Awards Finals: Musical Theatre Presentation. This new choreography by BJ & Aeysha Rorke is a fantastic performance by your Musical Theatre students.
