Our 2023 Seymour Season spotlights inventive new Australian drama plus compelling work from the international stage. We journey to the birthplace of Australia's fierce gay rights movement in CAMP, we visit a new kind of Neverland in The Lost Boys, we meet Shakespeare’s most significant yet least celebrated rival in Venus and Adonis—and more. On A Clear Day is quirky, romantic, supernatural, and utterly charming. Overlooked, curious, unusual, and unexpected, this world premiere chamber adaptation adds a queer twist for 2023.
In an effort to quit nicotine, David Gamble (Jay James-Moody, The Book of Mormon) enlists hypnosis researcher, Dr Mark Bruckner (Blake Bowden, The Phantom of the Opera). But their sessions soon turn otherworldly as the doctor discovers inside David’s mind Melinda Welles (Madeleine Jones, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), a sparkling woman who died tragically a century earlier—and soon David, Mark, and Melinda are caught in a comic cosmic love triangle with only two bodies.
