The annual Shakespeare Memorial Lecture is this year presented by Kate Gaul.
Kate is a theatre and opera director, creative producer, festival director, designer, and writer with two decades of experience in directing Shakespeare, in the form of comedies, tragedies and operas including Richard III, As You Like It, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, and all kinds of versions of A Midsummer Night's Dream!
Back in the theatre, where it belongs, this presentation will include soprano Claudia Mackay and counter-tenor Michael Burden singing Tytania and Oberon in excerpts from Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
