Experience Peruvian and Brazilian jazz experimentalism at its best with ALLY in their first concert since the release of Drum Junk!
Expect to hear Giorgio Rojas’ Peruvian mastery alongside Daniel Pliner’s tumbaos; James Greening’s brilliance on trombone and Gai Bryant’s densely layered Cuban and Peruvian-influenced jazz cameos underpinned by Harry Birch on double bass and Julio Candela on percussion. Layered on top is the stunning imagery of Dai Moret’s poetry.
The alchemy resulting from the blend of these elements and artists is an exhilarating new twist on original Latin jazz in Australia.
If you have access needs, please call the Box Office on 02 9061 5344 to book tickets.
Global jazz group, ALLY, showcase jazz at its most passionate and irresistible, with music drawn from Afro-Peruvian, Cuban, Brazilian, and Caribbean traditional rhythms paired with a modern jazz aesthetic.
