IMPORTANT UPDATE 14 SEPTEMBER 2021: In light of the ongoing impact of COVID in Greater Sydney, this event has been cancelled. If you are an existing ticketholder, you will be contacted by our Box Office.
Tarisai Vushe tells her journey, from a village in Zimbabwe, to its capital Harare, then to Sydney suburbs and the Northern Territory. She sings popular international and Australian songs of different styles, as well as African songs, and reflects on life in Africa and here, finding some surprising similarities as well as differences. She provides a positive and distinct perspective of what it is to be an Australian in 2021.
Tarisai is joined in song by Ugandan born Kenneth Tusubira, Jonathan Chagaresango (Zimbabwe - keyboard) and Suzan Mutesi (song and dance). The cast are all highly accomplished and experienced, in a show full of energy, upbeat music, comedy and story telling.
Tarisai has had an outstanding career as singer since arriving in Australia 20 years ago, featuring in clubs, Australia's Got Talent and other television shows and musicals, with tours around Australia and Asia. The latter include lead roles in The Lion King and Madiba (Mandela).
Please note this event was originally scheduled for 3 - 17 July 2021.
