Seymour Centre's contemporary music program, Seymour Nights, returns in February and March 2023 for Sydney WorldPride.
Offering free gigs at dusk in the Seymour courtyard and coinciding with eight brilliant Sydney WorldPride events, Seymour Nights @ Sydney WorldPride will champion local LGBTQI artists and new sounds, with appearances by Seann Miley Moore, Tanzer, Dyan Tai, and more.
With delicious food truck fare on offer, join us for free performances from some of Australia's most vibrant voices, wickedest DJs, and most daring drag artists, all in the leafy, summery surrounds of the Seymour courtyard.

Beks is a holy tipped rising star who has gained media acclaim from NME Australia, Purple Sneakers, and Rolling Stone, and Spotify editorial support on NMF Germany, Switzerland, Asia, and Australia.
With a rapidly building fanbase, the Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer, currently based in London, has consistently charted on iTunes and peaked at #3 on the global iTunes Dance Chart with Devoted.
Beks has also achieved two consecutive Australian ad campaigns for Channel 7’s Home and Away with The Thing About Us and Devoted, while her music is played in over 15k retail stores Australia-wide.
Her recent appearances at IKEA Concert Roulette, Suncorp Stadium, Mardi Gras, Big Gay Day, and Pride Festival have prepared her for her role and performance in Young Rock Season 2 which has just aired on HBO.

Self-described as the Asian empress of the gay streets of Sydney, Dyan Tai has emerged from the stages of the local cabaret scene and now evolved into an electronic artist.
Their captivating live shows bring together elements of Asiatic drag and performance art intersected with synth-heavy electronic music, androgynous vocals, and a sparkly, mirror-coated keytar. Their new Empress 皇后 EP features collaboration with Queer, BIPOC identifying artists, and is supported by CreateNSW.

The pocket rocket vocalist turned DJ turned burlesque artist you never knew you needed!
Clara Fable blends her unique adoration for all things macabre with delightfully boppy queer tunes and salacious visuals to create one hell of an experience.
Winner of the APRA x Mardi Gras Express Yourself competition, the leading lady of the Dracula’s Cabaret Resurrection tour is here to represent her queer community.

Seann Miley Moore
Seann Miley Moore is an Indonesian-Australian singer known for competing in season 12 of the X-Factor UK, and in season 10 of The Voice Australia.
In 2021, he competed in season 10 of The Voice Australia on Jessica Mauboy’s team, turning all four chairs in his blind audition where he performed The Prayer by Andrea Bocelli. That led him to compete as one of the artists at Eurovision: Australia Decides 2022, with his song, My Body.
Tanzer
Plucked from rural New South Wales and raised in the crumbling majesty of Rome, Tanzer delivers culture-clash disco dramarama and hyper-colour haughtiness with a voice from another dimension.
Known for her cinematic, high-glamour, escapist works that are at once intensely powerful, deeply fragile, and darkly humorous, her work spans stages, clubs, galleries, and festivals, and fuses musical forms for a multitude of performative and artistic outcomes.
Her musical compositions move fluidly from opera to disco and from the experimental to pure pop, exploring self-image, gender, romance, and the power of the alter ego.
LAVRENCE
LAVRENCE, from the queer fringes of Sydney, has arrived.
Growing up in a music-obsessed household, LAVRENCE’s taste for performance was quickly established as he’d race home from school each day to perform to Spice by the Spice Girls (dressing up as either Ginger or Posh). He later honed these skills at a performing arts high school where he studied singing, dancing, and acting.
Bursting onto the scene in late 2018 with his debut single Shine, and accompanied performance at Sydney’s most popular queer event, Heaps Gay, LAVRENCE has become one of Australia’s most exciting rising artists, quickly establishing a reputation for meticulously choreographed and powerful live performances.

TROY BEMAN
Troy has spent the last seven years honing his craft in some of Australia’s most notorious nightclubs, rounding out the set list alongside house and techno royalty at the country's greatest parties and clubs.
Troy kicked off his career at the peak of Sydney’s draconian lockout laws. A classically trained pianist from his school days, Troy has been heavily influenced by the soundtrack of his family’s eclectic taste from a young age.
His now signature sound is a blend of classic house, electro house, and techno, overlaid with unexpected a cappella and a stomping 808 house beat. He was a curator for Arias Great Southern Nights movement and took the stage at Mardi Gras Laneway Party in 2018.

An artist unlike any other, non-binary singer-songwriter Rachel Maria Cox is quickly becoming one of the most promising emerging Australian acts. Blending popstar bravado with emo vulnerability, they’ve built a solid reputation for their relatable lyrics and energetic live show.
2018 saw Cox take their live show to Groovin The Moo, BIGSOUND, Mountain Sounds Festival, and King St Crawl, and they’ve supported everyone from Alex Lahey and Ruby Fields to Georgia Maq (Camp Cope) and La Dispute.
Their debut LP, Untidy Lines, gained critical acclaim from Triple J, Rolling Stone Australia, and Australian Guitar Magazine, and was The Brag’s Album of the Week.
Singles off Untidy lines were equally well received - Emotionally Untidy gained plenty of airplay on Triple J, If I’m Smiling (It’s Because I’m Thinking About Zac Efron) was added to Spotify’s Fresh Finds Playlist, racking up hundreds of thousands of streams and gaining them international attention, and Stronger Lines won the Triple J Unearthed NIDA competition, with the resulting film clip played on ABC’s Rage.

tyoow (pronounced tee-ow) is an Eora-based DJ, producer, and songwriter. She is well-versed in all genres of music and incorporates her extended knowledge into thoughtful, unique, and well-polished DJ performances.
2022 has been one of tyoow’s biggest years to date. Stand-outs include DJing for Vogue’s Elvis
premiere party at the personal request of iconic director Baz Luhrmann, opening for Anderson .Paak at Gucci’s Archetype Exhibition opening, featuring as a guest DJ on Triple J’s Mix Up show (Mardi Gras edition), and playing for iconic brands such as The Australian Ballet, Rationale, Sydney Comedy Festival, Mokum Studios, Hype DC, and The Iconic.
She’s a staple in the Sydney party scene, playing in all of the city’s hotspots and late-night haunts. When she’s not busy filling out dance floors, she’s putting together mashups for her TikTok fans, garnering her over 4.6 million likes.
Her Soundcloud mixes have also recently surpassed 4.8 million plays, with her greatest fanbase based in South Korea. You can expect an extremely high-energy performance from tyoow, with clean mixes executed at breakneck speed.

Chela
Chelsea Wheatley is a Filipino/Australian artist, musician, songwriter, producer, and filmmaker originally from Fremantle, WA.
Her family relocated to Melbourne, Victoria when she was 15. She then taught herself how to play bass guitar so she could start a femme punk pop band with her high school best friends. They toured Australia extensively for three years, and within this time Chelsea also appeared twice as a guest on Rockwiz, performing two solos and a duet with Chris Ballew (Presidents of the United States of America).
Soon thereafter, 'Chela' (a long-standing nickname) was born, self-releasing her first single Plastic Gun, co-produced with Ben Ely (Regurgitator) and receiving airplay on Australian national radio. In 2013 and 2014 French tastemaker label Kitsuné released Romanticise (co-produced with DCUP) and Zero gaining Chela international attention. In 2014 Chela performed at SXSW and Coachella, and has since supported Classixx, The Presets, The Preatures, San Cisco, Client Liaison, and MIKA on tour.
As well as gaining 20 million+ streams on her own releases, she has also collaborated with several musical entities, including Goldroom on his summer-anthem Fifteen, Clubfeet on their highly-rotated single Heartbreak, electronic heavyweight Damian Lazarus on Five Moons, queer pop-punk cult hero Seth Bogart on his debut self-titled solo album alongside Kathleen Hanna and Tavi Gevinson, and NYC's Gus Dapperton on his 2020 track My Say So.
Jamaica Moana
Jamaica Moana is a Sydney-based artist, rapper, creative director and songwriter of Māori (Ngāpuhi/Tainui) and Samoan descent. She is spiritually entwined with Hokianga and Waikato in the motherland of Aotearoa, whilst currently walking the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. As a multidisciplinary artist, she balances her professional career as a rapper and artist whilst being a leader and resident commentator of the Australian ballroom community.
Her first single in 2018, FUR, became a queer community anthem. This led to her touring the east coast of Australia, performing at Brisbane’s IMA, Midsumma Festival Melbourne, Sydney’s Mardi Gras After Party at Hordern Pavilion, and soon after, a headlining act at Dark Mofo 2019 in Hobart.
In 2019, she had the honour of collaborating with Paul Mac and Jonny Seymour (who collectively become Stereogamous) with Just Like This. She has since performed at many prestigious events including ANZ Fair Day Festival and opening for Junglepussy from NYC on her multi-city Australian tour.
Her most recent achievements are supporting NGAIIRE for Sydney Festival 2021 and solo-headlining a show at Darlinghurst Theatre. She recently hosted the first ballroom event of the year, which she co-founded, The West Ball 2.
Etcetera Etcetera
Etcetera Etcetera is one of Australia’s most well known and visually striking drag artists. With a rich background in performance, makeup artistry, screen studies, and fashion, they have appeared on stages from Australia to New York and back again.
A visible non-binary artist, their activism has created a genuine and vocal fanbase, moving beyond the world of drag and into the mainstream. Etcetera creates memorable moments in theatre, nightclubs, television, film, and online. Just as their name suggests, there’s only more to come.

Her first single in 2018, FUR, became a queer community anthem. This led to her touring the east coast of Australia, performing at Brisbane’s IMA, Midsumma Festival Melbourne, Sydney’s Mardi Gras After Party at Hordern Pavilion, and soon after, a headlining act at Dark Mofo 2019 in Hobart.
In 2019, she had the honour of collaborating with Paul Mac and Jonny Seymour (who collectively become Stereogamous) with Just Like This. She has since performed at many prestigious events including ANZ Fair Day Festival and opening for Junglepussy from NYC on her multi-city Australian tour.
Her most recent achievements are supporting NGAIIRE for Sydney Festival 2021 and solo-headlining a show at Darlinghurst Theatre. She recently hosted the first ballroom event of the year, which she co-founded, The West Ball 2.
Etcetera Etcetera
Etcetera Etcetera is one of Australia’s most well known and visually striking drag artists. With a rich background in performance, makeup artistry, screen studies, and fashion, they have appeared on stages from Australia to New York and back again.
A visible non-binary artist, their activism has created a genuine and vocal fanbase, moving beyond the world of drag and into the mainstream. Etcetera creates memorable moments in theatre, nightclubs, television, film, and online. Just as their name suggests, there’s only more to come.
Beks
Beks is a holy tipped rising star who has gained media acclaim from NME Australia, Purple Sneakers, and Rolling Stone, and Spotify editorial support on NMF Germany, Switzerland, Asia, and Australia.
With a rapidly building fanbase, the Australian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer, currently based in London, has consistently charted on iTunes and peaked at #3 on the global iTunes Dance Chart with Devoted.
Beks has also achieved two consecutive Australian ad campaigns for Channel 7’s Home and Away with The Thing About Us and Devoted, while her music is played in over 15k retail stores Australia-wide.
Her recent appearances at IKEA Concert Roulette, Suncorp Stadium, Mardi Gras, Big Gay Day, and Pride Festival have prepared her for her role and performance in Young Rock Season 2 which has just aired on HBO.
